So we want to know what the majority would prefer. This goes for the other way around as well. If we format a 6/8 apple loop to the faster 8th note pulse and someone sets their session at a slower tempo for a 2 beat click then the loop will play insanely slow and sound terrible. How you respond will determine how we edit these files for apple loops and rex. Which would you prefer: setting your global tempo to 180bpm with the time signature set to 6/8 or setting your tempo to 60bpm with your time signature set to 2/4. A solution to this is to set your time signature to 2/4 at 60bpm and your loop will now line up properly and your click will play back with a 2 beat feel for each measure. So for example if you have 6/8 loop at 60bpm (according to a dotted quarter note beat) you would actually have to set your tempo to 180bpm to get it to line up with your measures properly. When switching your global time signature to 6/8 it makes the beat on the 8th note pulse rather than making a 2 beat feel with 8th note triplets as the pulse. Many of you have probably discovered that using certain DAW's like logic doesn't deal with this type of counting very well.
