But this doesn't work either, movies at 30 fps still run slooooooooooowly. So, I thought, I'll use that new Adaptive V-sync (Half refresh rate) setting in the v301.10 driver so the movies only play at 30 fps and the game will still run at 30 fps as before (since it was already capped).
But, no, that doesn't work because forcing v-sync makes the movies, unbelievably, play slower!!! Not only that but the gameplay is prone to hitching/stuttering at key moments! :bang: You'd think that forcing on v-sync would cap the movies and menu to 60 fps on my 60 Hz display, no problem, while allowing the game to still run at 30 fps as before without any horrid screen tearing. However, the game itself is capped at 30 fps. Will you join Vader as the next great Sith, or will you choose to defend peace and justice as a noble Jedi Knight? The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.I've had this game sometime but returned to it while testing my new GTX 680 card over the weekend.Īs you may or may not know, the game by default doesn't use v-sync (there isn't even an option in the Video settings) so the menus and movies run as fast as your card can handle them (on my system that's a ridiculous 4,000 fps yet the movies still suffer from horrendous screen tearing!!!!!!).
You are Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice! The Dark Lord of the Sith himself has trained you to use a lightsaber and unleash the power of the Force, but now your destiny is your own. The Star Wars saga continues in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
